Deborah & David are from Providence, RI and have been engaged since May 11, 2006.  Here is why Deborah thinks they should win the NBC10 Free Wedding Giveaway:

“The story that we shared with this entry, as one of our funniest moments shared as a couple represents one of many moments of laughter when merging our cultures, something demonstrated on a large scale through a wedding ceremony and celebration. Those stories for us are endless!
Just as we find the humor throughout our daily lives, surely our wedding will be as humorous as that story.

David is humble enough that he doesn’t mind sharing these stories, and I’m so proud of this endearing person by my side, that I want to show him off!

We are so happy to have each other, and we recognize that an elaborate wedding is not essential; however, we are sometimes saddened not to have some of the traditional moments that most couples get to share, to share photos with our children, or the shared moment of a first dance to bring things to perspective in tough times.

Politics de-romanticized our engagement/marriage process; the RI community was where we were finally able to bring our lives together; it would be an honor to share such an important day with a community that has been so important to us. This community welcomed David as part of its family, and as his family is not here with him, RI and the NBC10 family would be more than welcome to step in should we be your choice for this year’s Wedding Giveaway.
