Victoria & Matthew are from Brighton, MA.  Victoria explains how Matt proposed to her on September 30, 2007: Matt and I went on a picnic one Sunday - a beautiful, sunny, early fall afternoon. It was replete with fresh bread from the local bakery, fruit, gruyere cheese, the whole nine yards!!! We lazed in the sun for a while and were reading our books. At one point, I stopped reading and cuddled up to his shoulder. I opened my eyes and said, “We should take a picture,“ and I immediately noticed that he had placed a ring box on top of my book. Of course I shrieked and cried and then Matt asked me to marry him! Of course I replied, “Yes, yes, yes, of course!“ and we hugged and cried, and took pictures as well! It was minutes later that I finally asked if I could open the box. He picked out the ring himself, and it is absolutely gorgeous. I have never owned a diamond in my life, and it is so precious and sparkly! Matt did such an excellent job! Then he took out the wine flutes and fancy bottle of champagne that he had secretly packed for the occasion. It was, without a doubt, the best (and most romantic) day of my life thus far!
