Veronica is from Pawtucket, RI and Steven is from Fall River, MA. They’ve been engaged since July 6, 2008 and here’s why Veronica thinks they should win the NBC10 Free Wedding Giveaway:
“Steve and I feel that we should win a free wedding at the Crown Plaza Hotel at the Crossings from NBC 10 and a Better Sound because we’re both hard working and just need to be cut a break once in life. I worked full time and went to school full time for 2 years trying to put myself through college without relying on my parents for help. Steve also worked throughout college for the same reason. We’ve done everything right, gone to school, graduated college, held jobs consistently since the age of 16. Now we find ourselves at a crossroads. We want so desperately to save up for a nice wedding but at the same time we’re looking to save for a home. Steve’s moved back in with his parents to try to save even more. Neither of us have ever won anything, and in some ways I’d like to think it’s because we were meant to win something bigger, perhaps a free wedding at the Crowne Plaza Hotel at the Crossings from NBC 10 and a Better Sound. If this doesn’t work out then I guess there is always EBAY, or even getting Match.com to sponsor our wedding. You’d be doing a service to Steve who can’t take much more of my wedding talk. I think we’ve already been to every reception site there is in Rhode Island. You’d also be helping us by letting us focus on saving for the American dream of owning our own home.”
