Shannon & Alexander are both from Cranston, RI.  They’ve been together for almost 6 years and Shannon tells the story on how Alex “popped the question”: I had a bad day at work and came home later than usual. When I walked through the door, Alex was standing in the kitchen all dressed up. He had candles lit everywhere and Tony Bennett was playing softly in the background (one of my favorites). A dozen red roses were on the table alongside a bottle of champagne. He asked me to sit down (I was thinking he made me a nice romantic dinner) and proceeded to get down on bended knee. He told me how much he loved me,asked if I would do him the honor of being his wife and placed the ring on my finger. He then took me to Hemmingway’s down on the waterfront where he had made reservations. At the end of dinner , he had a cake come out that said Congratulations-Engaged!
